Crossfit is a form of strength training and cardio exercises aimed at strengthening muscles, improving fitness and reducing stress. It is based on functional movements that occur in everyday life, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, jumping and running.
CrossFit training always starts with warm-up, followed by a section where you work on different techniques and exercises. Each workout ends with the Workout of the Day (WOD), which lasts about 10 to 20 minutes. The WOD is different every day, but always intense. We go through a changing series of exercises at a high pace. We use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, tractor tyres, ropes, rings, pull-up bars and our own body weight, among others. This is how we train your physical condition and perseverance.
CrossFit is for anyone who wants to get healthier and fitter. Whether you are a beginner or have been actively exercising for years. Crossfit is for everyone. Within each class, we take into account the fitness level of the participants. So we offer variants for beginner Crossfitters (scaled) and for advanced Crossfitters (RX).
You only need comfortable clothes and shoes to participate in CrossFit. It is also useful to bring a towel and a bottle of water. Powerhouse 040 in Eindhoven has all the other necessary (Rogue) equipment.
